This is a great thread. What id like to know is how much of this type of legwork @CBHessick @larabazelon has done esp as they continue to support DAs like @GeorgeGascon @LADAOffice @chesaboudin @SFDAOffice??? My guess, none.https://twitter.com/AndrewMannix/status/1437080599144058889 …
We were once like you- But if you step out of your privilege, talk a walk in the shoes of these communities, you’ll see the world isn’t as simple as many ideologues say. Just walk a day in the life of a POC in a bad neighborhood - it will change your perspective immediately.

What does any of that have to do with what I said? Not only that, but you have no clue who I am or what I’ve experienced, so it’s pretty bold of you to assume such when I’m simply saying that Professor Hessick and Ms. Bazelon *don’t* support prosecutors.

It’s a response to your tweet- what we “say” relates to the struggles of POC impacted by crime. When I say “walk a day” in the shoes of an immigrant in a high crime area, it’s a rejoinder to one who blindly follows critiques of policies without the practical or life experience.
