    A key claim DOJ has made is that Winner's leak "gravely harmed" national security. It was always bullshit, but Mueller proved it last month by publishing much of the same information--including info that the NSA insisted that The Intercept should redact.

    Had a baby in November. refuses to issue birth certificate without enrolling the kid for Aadhaar. Filed RTI and in response I got letters from and to local body that ask for enrollment for Aadhaar, but nowhere that it is mandatory for BC.

    No discharge of newborns without Aadhaar. Women who have given birth, might have been operated on, are being made to stand in line to get an Aadhaar for their child. This, THIS is freakishly evil. Makes my blood boil.

    In contempt of the SC order, Gurgaon asks for Aadhaar for issuance of birth certificate of newborn. So, if we decide to NOT get Aadhaar of the baby then she won't ever get birth certificate? Stop shoving Aadhaar to us, . Help, !

    So the Gurgaon Municipal Office says that Govt of Haryana notified about mandatory Aadhaar for birth certificate which is in direct contempt of SC and also this GOI notification. What's happening, ? Why this utter disregard for institutions?

    Aadhaar not mandatory in birth or death certificates.

    Dear , What is this policy about non-issuance of birth certificate of newborn without Aadhaar? I can't believe that no institution has any respect for the SC anymore. You expect the newborn and mother to stand in queue for hours for Aadhaar so as to get birth certificate?

    This is tragic & untenable - and adds to numbers that are already bad. 13 journalists have been physically attacked in US in 2018, and 45 were physically attacked in US in 2017, per , which documents press-freedom violations nationwide.

    Safety of journalists is precondition of democracy and the meaningful exercise of press rights. Violence against journalists is not only tragic & intolerable but offensive to promise of an enlightened public. Journalists must be able to work w/o fear of violence.

    To fight words with weapons is more than violence, it is a crime against the Constitution. Those who justify such attacks are no patriots.
