Single-file java "script" execution would be way more useful if we allowed a shebang line in Java source, e.g. `#!/usr/bin/env java`. It was suggested but not done for Java 11. /cc @BrianGoetz @mreinhold @neugenshttps://gist.github.com/headius/a2e858daa0a5f62f112de57684c3d1c3 …

I've been informed that there *is* a way to do shebang-based Java "scripts", but the restrictions kill my only use case: * Only full path to `java` since you have to pass "--source 11" flag. * File can't end with .java, unlike every other shebangable scripting language.

It's been a binfmt-exec example since forever.

Anything requiring a typical user to change system-level configurations is also a fail. `#!/usr/bin/env java` should work out of the box everywhere, and it would if not for those restrictions.
