Ok, I've got an idea for a thing.
If I did the maths right, there are 10 races each in the Horde and Alliance, including all the Allied Races.
If you were in charge, which 10 races would you choose to re-make your faction?

If this were a “real life” situation I bet there would be individuals who would choose to defect to the other side. I’d keep the races as is but work in a decfector’s quest line to let you choose which faction you’ll be apart of.
That's a great shout!! I was saying recently that with the current armistice I'd love to see a bunch of Tauren settle in Westfall, say.

Tauren make the most sense because of the Druid connection to Night Elves. I’ve always thought Tauren should be able to play in both factions. I would change Cy to a Tauren today if they could play with Alliance.
