WandaVision is 25 minutes of classic tv homage and then 2 minutes of WTF?!?!?!?! and it makes sense that formula would split critics and fans.https://twitter.com/PaulTassi/status/1353001724081033217 …

I think these retro homage segments are going to start being reduced in time, especially when we start piecing together things from the outside. IMDB is a spoiler, but there are clearly big things coming.

I'm hoping for this, cause right now it's like "OK?"

The end of Ep.3 has HUGE ramifications for the MCU as a whole, depending on where they go with the story, if you know some of the comics. This might be a show where the final few episodes explode, so you go back and watch the series over to see all the clues again.

Like watching early Agents of Shield before/after Turn, Turn, Turn.

I liked Agents of SHIELD. HOWEVER. Their BIGGEST MISTAKE was starting the series before Winter Soldier. The first half of s1 is just filler. They lost a chunk of audience because of it. When Winter Soldier hit, the whole 2nd half of S1 is excellent. But the damage was done.

I get that take, but it only works with hindsight I think. The twist adjacent to Winter Soldier was excellent, and a really brave thing to do in my opinion. 1/2

They should have just done a better job of making the early episodes feel important - paying to get Hemsworth or RDJ for an episode would have boosted numbers.
