Anybody got any tips for someone who's getting squished as a squishy mage?

Gear will make a big difference. It's not your fault, it doesn't make you a bad player. That's just how it's tuned. I would buy some cheap gear off the AH or have a friend make some. There's so much fun to be had! I encourage you to push through!
Thanks Ali! I've sent her a bunch of 168 cloth gearand the DMF trinket - hopefully thatll help some.

Thanks! I find it SO FRUSTRATING spending 60% of my - too short - play time running from a graveyard. Hopefully things will improve with gear. I really want to enjoy it.

It will. Keep in mind that a lot of players went into this expansion already having good gear because they were raiding or doing dungeons last expansion. So try not to compare to other players. I do know some who struggle though. Especially us clothies. Don't give up!
