I have an honest question about when calling someone they/them, do you change the whole sentence? So if I am talking about a person who prefers to be called they/them, do I use plurals in my sentence?

I certainly would. It doesn't sound right otherwise: so I'd use they do rather than they does, for example. It might make it easier to think of it less like a plural and more just indicative of neither gender. Eg: "When a person wants a burger, they eat one"

They do be like that :P I see what you mean though, guess sooner or later it will just be baked into our language just like he/she/it forms

Yeah, I think so. I also don't think anybody I've come across yet with they pronouns would give you shit for getting some like that wrong when you are trying to be respectful in a world where many aren't.
