You are conflating game mechanics with story mechanics.

I think you tried to stick me for doing this, when all I said was that each expansion constitutes about 2 years of time in-universe, which just so happens to line up with the rate of expansion releases, but has absolutely nothing to do with the release schedule.

If you recall when you rescue Jaina, she mentions that she has escaped several times and been recaptured several times. They then immediately talk about how time is weird in there.

"Ion clarified this, saying that time is perceived differently in Shadowlands, like a dream where you sleep for six hours but in the dream state you experience events covering a wider range of time. It's not like every day in the Shadowlands is equivalent to five days in Azeroth"

And Chronicle said it was a definitive collection of the WoW lore in one place.

The chronicle isn't the same thing as hearing something from the director's mouth.

The difference between time passing differently and us perceiving it differed semantics, surely? That interview quote sounds like something you would say if you didn't want people guessing your super secret time skip plan two years early...

No, that's just how time works. You feeling like something took 3 hours when it only took 1 doesn't mean that it took 3 hours for you while everyone else experienced the 1 hour. You still experienced an hour, regardless of your perception of that time.

Yeah, I just don't buy that. Jaina doesn't just perceive that she's escaped repeatedly and been there for ages, those things actually happened. If you're saying that it's literally just a mental perception of time that changes, I think, respectfully, that's a misinterpretation.

1)no day/night cycle in the maw, where she was 2)being tormented, which would make time feel slower 3)they were there for roughly 2 weeks before us, which would be more than enough times to escape capture multiple times. Respectfully, you're reading into it too much.

We'll find out, I guess. While I don't agree with you, you raise some interesting points and I'm excited to see where Blizzard goes with this.
