Starting to think Jaina really dodged a bullet with Arthas. Can you imagine living with someone who named his back door "Aldur'thar: The Desolation Gate"? Dude, you're not even an elf. It's like having a tattoo in kanji when you've never been to Asia.
It's a good question. I assumed so as the construction is similar to some Thalassian named places (Zin'Azshari, Quel'Thelas, Eldre'Thelas, etc).

Could be the old human tongue though. Remember “Esarus thar no'Darador" which is “By blood and honor we serve,” in the old tongue. ‘Thar’ is present in both words.

True - I didn't know that. It could even be demonic, given the Legion's influence on Northrend and the Lich King. It's entirely possible I'm being too harsh on Arthas
