Um, here's a thought. There's a female dreadlord who was spying on / getting in with the realm of nature ages ago, right? Like, pre-Burning Legion? Could THAT be Elune? Maybe she went native.
I know Elune seems to be more linked to the Light, but there's interplay with Elune and Cenarius somewhere in the lore, isn't there? I can't put my finger on where, but I'm sure it's a thing. And night elves are all naturey.
