Oh, absolutely. But there's a contingent of fans who hated all the big moments going to lore characters rather than to us (Thrall in Demon Soul, etc) and it wouldn't shock me at all if the big hero of each covenant this expac is just... us.

Nahhhh. Just means we nominate some poor schtick to keep our seat warm til we capital D die. I'm not saying this should happen, just that the talk of embodying the covenant sounds (to me) a lot like something we might work towards, rather than a nod to a lore character's fate.
