Today was grandbaby #2’s First birthday.
They live 10 minutes away.
We “celebrated” over FaceTime.
And it was terrible.
I mean. Missing entirely would be worse. But miss those little ones.

Our little girl turns 5 in a little over two weeks - she's lucky enough to still have nearly double digits of grandparents and great grandparents, but they're all going to miss her special day. It's horrendous.

There are bigger and more important issues at play here. But it’s hard for the little ones to understand and tugs at our hearts to not get to be with them, right? But the alternatives are soooo much worse. Hugs to you and yours!
