Working life for a lawyer in August is basically just reading an endless stream of out of office messages and dreading dealing with a series of under-briefed & slightly resentful stand-ins who just want to tread water till they can hand the matter back to the absent colleague.
I am very fortunate to be in the top 5%. Having checked the Labour tax calculator I would actually be paying a lot more tax. But I donโt mind. Because I am not โat warโ with my fellow countrymen, but glad to invest in making our shared infrastructure/society stronger & fairer ๐๐ฝ
