Given I already pay a gap of $25.95 to see my GP and that’s quite cheap for the ones in this area (no bulk billing ones in easy reach), I’m not sure how this is supposed to work?

Exactly! We have to pay a gap for our young children (under 16) too. This is just going to hike up the price of going to the GP, and more people will end up in our hospital system
