If you're just using incels as an opportunity to make fun of virgins, stop. That's not acceptable.

I mean the incels community is a community built entirely around the idea women owe men sex so
-
I know. my tweet is about people who use them as an excuse to make fun of and shame virgins in general
-
i mean i can get that i spose and yeah it's uh, virgin shaming is gross especially in the context of arguing with toxic men
-
It's like how so many self proclaimed progressives think fatshaming is suddenly okay when the target is acceptable. I used to do stuff like that when I was a teen and I wish someone had told me to stop. The attitudes we display hurt more people than the person we aim to hurt
-
plus it's mixed message. you're not owed sex but we're gonna make fun of you for never having any. it's bad.
-
Yeah, it reinforces the toxic pressures that led them to their shitty attitudes in the first place

ive only ever made fun of the masculine entitlement behind it
-
I don't doubt it. It's particularly some of the stuff that gets retweeted onto my feed that is very icky
-

I don't take issue with people who just aren't getting sex (whether by choice or not by choice.) But I definitely take issue with the toxic masculinity and sense of entitlement that shape the incel movement.
