You know it actually strikes me they theoretically could do something to curb this? Add Infowars broadcasts to the existing Content ID system and have it auto-flag mirrors. I mean... They won't... But they could.

I'm pretty sure Alex Jones would be able to sue them for that. From infowars TOS: IW would have to explicitly ask them to do that, and it would make sense in any other case (IW wants people going to their site for content), but fans avoiding the ban are free advertising.pic.twitter.com/u3lrHX764X

YouTube clearly doesn’t care about anyone because they know if they silence conservatives there will be a crying act.

I guarantee Google has the machine learning tech to deal with this. This is negligence.

YouTube now appears to be a Pandora's box... the amount of content uploaded daily is too much to verify by people and there's no algorithm to pick these kinds of things up. A blanket ban on the words "infowars" in a video could flag informative content about them...

They've become incapable of monitoring their own website... they're not in control anymore and probably haven't been for a long time.

See, thing is they can't automatically take infowars clips down, since they're no longer in the content ID system. Anything else requires human flagging or proactive moderation..

They absolutely can and do have an algorithm that is able to recognize the content of a video the way any company can automatically search for watermarks, or use facial recognition to locate its content. If they wanted to, they could block the new uploads entirely.
