I'd like to thank the folks for mentioning in their EOL announcement - They didn't have to do that, and one could argue it's against their interests. I think it not only shows their class but also the mutual respect we share. 🤗

Next stop: Fedora CoreOS / OKD. Or Red Hat CoreOS / Openshift if you like support 👍 Both are awesome, self updating clusters! But you might need to give the former, OKD, some time 🙂

I started my Docker / Kubernetes adventure with CoreOS. We had Intel NUC cluster (I called it enterprise version of Raspberry Pi clusters 😉) during a research project, and production clusters on AWS. Was fun, and reliable, at least after early stages 😉👍🙂 /cc

Metrics are hard. But "total number of open bugs" is a particularly useless one. Raw number of bugs is strongly correlated with project age and popularity! You'll never fix all of them, just accept it. So, take a moment and celebrate your bug count!

What's more fundamental: VMs or containers? I think it's containers. VMs are just another userspace workload that you run in a container, as is doing. Surprising anyone would be creating something new that's VM-first today.

The last sentence is so easy to follow, but saves a lot of reviewing time. I don't count how many "remove this", "trying sth", "to do" and simple comment typos I catched this way myself before pushing 😊👍

Lesser known Knative fact: Knative doesn't _require_ Istio. It needs L7 in-cluster load balancer, gateways like Gloo and Ambassador already work w/ Knative. Kourier is a new smaller alternative, a dynamic Envoy-based proxy designed just for Knative!

“Kubenertes learning curve is really high” that was also what I thought until I decide spending 2 days learning it from the basics and I can honestly say that the crazy learning curve announced is really overrated , even for a developer that never touched the devops world
