it's not outside the scope of my position that: * the web in general has gotten faster * web applications may have individually gotten slower and other web apps may have gotten faster * net new workflows enabled by the web (ie hard/impossible w/o web) can "feel" slow

CrUX has FP, FCP, DCL and onLoad (no TTCI/FID just yet). We can cross reference origins with their metrics in Lighthouse from WPT (TTCI) which should show sites with higher TTCI are referencing more third parties.

yeah, I expect the correlation to hold (strongly) as we use more-inclusive metrics (TTI/FID). Was just wondering how so many of those reports seemed to show < 2s ;-)

onLoad. I created a similar graph based on First Contentful Paint - but there wasn't as strong as a correlation to overall third party %. Another interesting way to slice this could be to examine the impact to FCP based on 3rd parties loading prior to FCP.
