Is there a way to get WebPack to build, but not bundle? I want to compile out all the non-standard loader stuff from a project to get standard JS modules I can load in a browser.

Shit, looks like WebPack doesn't even have a module output mode. 😕

Correct. Performance is critical and therefore it's been a lower priority because of all the module bottlenecks.

Oof. For web packaging, we should be able to output real modules.

For my development cycle I do NOT want to bundle. Just ES modules. However, when I go to production then I DO want to bundle. Thats where I use rollup. Webpack only gives you both, not one of the two. E.g. all or nothing situation, which means nothing for me atm :(

Doesn't Polymer require a special web server to use modules in dev though? To me that's not any better than running a bundler watch script.

It would be way faster with groups of bundles instead of loose modules no?

I'm not going for speed, I'm trying to get to standard modules first.

For being able to escape non-standard systems and get back into standard source you should be able to too.
