No man, I just hate global variables ;-) But seriously, Shadow DOM is the answer to CSS in the same way that "structured programming" is the answer to assembly.

Separate issue is classes vs inline. Classes are clearly better.

Anyway, this *might* be small potatoes in memory terms depending on app. Reducing # of layers & killing leaks almost always has a bigger impact.

This makes me think that many of these discussions conflate how CSS is *authored* vs. how it’s *loaded*. Not you specifically, Alex... I know this is where you were going when discussing build process.
