K well i don't know whats coming :) I just see that as a company i have to ship electron again if i want a web-desktop-app, and not a consistent motion towards using web for apps.

I'm using it now... althought to be fair, this is Chrome OS, the plan is to bring it to Windows and Mac using normal add to homescreen mechanismspic.twitter.com/qQflqFwpj2

Now if only apple could get on board with this idea as well, that'd be swell. Web as an app mechanism is close but we have to see consistent motion towards this goal and not randomly ripping features out making it extremely risky as businesses.

From apple on desktop i have chrome, but from apple on iOS i would like them to make add-to-homescreen a proper 'app' that doesnt reset the page when multitasking, that leaves me in control of the touch area and working local storage (although that may be fixed)

http://Web.app (apple's homescreen app shell) needs work for sure, but I trust it will improve. Lots of people are starting to ask about these issues.

Well lets hope they start by not killing 'app mode' entirely. They recently started ignoring the meta zoom/pinch directives in both http://web.app and safari because of accessability issues with sites that used it when they shouldnt.

Feels very much like a set of requests to direct at Safari/Apple peeps rather than Chromies, but yeah, really hope this improves. iOS Safari is a huge pain for folks doing ambitious work.

It is, except for canning desktop app mode a while back i have few complaints.

Ah, yes, well that's evolving quickly. CrOS first, Win/Mac after that. All happening this year. Feature requests appreciated!

Installability criteria will be the same as for mobile: has to be a real PWA. UI treatment also changing rapidly right now. If you have a dev/canary Chromebook, would love feedback.
