Once desktop PWAs launches in Chrome, will the users get a full screen experience as on mobile or is it going to open in a separate window as any other website?

I'm assuming a standalone window like the chrome apps Full screen just doesn't make sense on desktop

even chrome apps open into a separate tab which will be effected by all the extensions what the user has.

Chrome apps are in an independent window and from my quick check just now extensions don't seem to be active in there

Chrome Apps do not run in the default web content container (they use a separate storage partition). PWAs will (to the extent that we can make it work) use the same storage and profile as your regular tabs. Should be seamless.

That is to say, while you won't have extension icons available in the PWA window mode, they will be active.

Your cookies, login credentials, sync'd data, form-auto-fill, etc. will all work just the way they do in tabs. Upgrading from a "regular tab" to a PWA will feel fluid.
