No vendor was at risk of consumer-friendly journalism being committed at MWC, it seems. When people reference "tech press" in scare-quotes, this is why.

Android's other failure is the hardware is abandonware - iOS devices typically get 4-5 years of updates with Android lucky to get 2 years after device stops being sold. Prefer Android as an OS but switched to iOS phone last year as I keep mine for a years.
