I need a new portrait oriented monitor. 24" is dead. Tempted by 32", is that just too stupidly tall in portrait? Wonky neck? 27"? And will I really notice 4k?

I'd go for a 27" 4k. This means you can double the pixel density and get really smooth text and UI (like modern phones)

I went for a 32" 4k screen, and it was pretty expensive compared to the 27", and the size puts it in a weird space when it comes to pixel density.

I don't run portrait, but it shouldn't make a difference. The pixels are square, so orientation doesn't matter much.

It kinda changes subpixel antialiasing, but that's much less important at the densities you're looking at.

I have a 27" Dell 4K at work and a 32" at home and prefer the 27" for that reason.
