Key. React gave us ability to render Components as children, passing rich data in attrs. wc can't match w/o higher abstraction a la Skate

This is confused. You were always able to do this via DOM. React added a customer (non-HTML) parser on top of DOM.

What I'm hearing is "I like JSX, HTML is a pain". Cool, but that's not about Web Components or ability to pass props.

Wait, hold up. Are you saying, w/ raw wc, I can do <div> <my-widget fn="obj.fn"> where obj is an object somewhere, with a fn method on it?

That's HTML markup. You have confused serialized (HTML) with deserialized (DOM). *sigh*

I *just* want the same ergonomics as React. This shouldn't be fought by wc folks tho—start advertising

Cool; add JSX on top of them. You don't need all the rest of the junk.

@stenciljs is something that adds JSX on top of that w/o extra component model3 replies 0 retweets 2 likes
Yep! I call out the need (and likelihood) of this sort of remixing of tools here: https://infrequently.org/2017/10/web-components-the-long-game/ …
