This was specifically referring to implementing the monome driver in the browser
There is node serial monome stuff though!!!

Ahh, was thinking tethered. We absolutely need a replacement for http://chrome.net 's UDP as a web standard though.

The driver uses udp as a backend to transport messages between clients. I don't think we'll ever see udp in browser though
