What if Virtual DOM was something handled by the browser? Been discussing a `.mutateElement()` fn with @yoavweiss:https://gist.github.com/HenrikJoreteg/842629a8efcca05439780a1cfc386e20 …

diffhtml from Tim is a super solid proof of concept for this that I think
@tbranyen was proposing?https://github.com/tbranyen/diffhtml …1 reply 2 retweets 22 likes -

There have been a few VDOM/diffing proposals kicked around over the last few years. Haven't seen a proper spec fleshed out, but would <3 to.

Incremental dom diffing is a good start for a proposal. Would love to see something like it in the browsers.

I don't think VDOM as it's most commonly implemented is a very good model to add. It doesn't make a distinction between static and dynamic.

If you had something like an xferable proxy object (that neutered main-thread writes), I suspect you'd get 90% of the value.

Or maybe also: http://github.com/thelarkinn/unity-component-specification … This also covers: * New module format * static templating * shipping way less JS * FW interop
