If your site has more than 500k of JS (uncompressed), you don't get to look down on "jQuery developers".
You mean like <input type="email">? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/email … Question there is why validation isn't accessible w/o element.

Somewhat tangential, but in latest Chrome "myname@" is considered valid in a type=email input, the pattern the browser matches on is bad

Core issue is the same. We need *accessible* validation, inaccessible validation for modern FWs is as good as no validation
