: nah, just saying beginners need to learn CSS, DOM, and JS. Starting with frameworks creates a lot of bad habits.

I'm so far behind, I rarely need anything more than JS, jQuery and Handlebars for templating.

Increasingly, I find myself using JS not jQuery for things. I think most frameworks are WAY too bulky for my needs.
