The devices I carry with me stretch from "low end 2 years ago" to "mid tier last year". Amazing how real hardware defeats your assumptions.

: a few. Nexus 5 (not the 5X) is the fastest of the bunch. Last year's Android One is my go-to. 1GB ram, dual core.

: doesn't cut it. Simulators/emulators inherit a lot of system properties from the host; that's a bug.
