Was sad to discover that Service Worker cache doesn't respect HTTP cache directives. Opportunity for someone to make a HTTPCache lib tho.
@marcosc: it comes up more than I anticipated, but what most folks seem to want is "auto discard", not HTTP semantics

@slightlylate@jaffathecake yeah, auto discard makes sense. I just got caught up trying to solve it with HTTP cache directives. -
@marcosc@slightlylate@jaffathecake We could add cache expiration to the sw-toolbox library: https://github.com/GoogleChrome/sw-toolbox/issues/18 … (CC:@wibblymat)

@slightlylate@marcosc although you want "auto discard" to discard least-frequently used assets, but the definition of "used" is tricky -
@jaffathecake : I think it'd be by entire cache. E.g., an argument to open that creates it as discardable /cc@marcosc
