@slightlylate anyway, I like the proposal, only thing confusing is EventTarget adn the dual behavior for both listeners and the argument
@WebReflection handlers are written for one or the other, else addEventListener("accept", ...);

@slightlylate I would expect .then(onacc, onrej) to be a shortcut for .addEventListener("accept", onacc) .addEventListener("reject", onrej) -
