48kb not worth the hysterical outbreak imo. the page loads 1.8mb on first load, doesn't use minification and compression, 500kb css alone in one chunk. if you really wanna go this low it should be bundle shaming at best

48KiB is a context free number. Is that a lot? Depends on budget. Without citing that ~130KiB)-ish is reasonable now (expanding to ~200KiB-ish next year), 48KiB might sound ok.
