The exotic, wildly profitable bits of banking were not fans. Having done more than their fair share to melt down the global economy, they fought like hell to avoid blame and continue to take risks. The cultural resistance to reorienting front-end to serve all will be similar.

For which? The cultural rot can't be placed on a single individual, and nobody is all "bad". The space for change and redemption is huge.
