Indeed! We have ongoing talks with @polymer re: getting custom-elements.json into a stable place, which might touch on some of that. Particularly, getting this into http://webcomponents.org (assuming we're able to get enough weight behind a rework there) and to look great there!

@WestbrookJ mentioned, we do have some docs at https://open-wc.org/building/#building-reusable-components-and-libraries … We're looking on expanding on this more in the near future.
