It supports SW and some of the manifest (ignores icons, have to use rel=“apple-touch-icon”). It’s better than it used to be, in iOS 12 there was this buggy memory hydration thing but now a PWA actually retains its memory when backgrounded.https://wespeter.com/posts/ios13-pwa-improvements/ …

Oh cool, so it actual does download and process the manifest? Is there an installation pop-up or does the user have to go through the old method still?

It doesn't support the "beforeinstallprompt" event afaik. The user has to go to the share sheet and "Add to Home" still.
