It's a little thing, but why is it too much to ask that websites for JS frameworks *not* include symbols for MATLAB and PostgreSQL to do sample-code syntax highlighting?
...on a more serious note, this was about JS code bloat related to libraries pulled in for syntax highlighting, not extra glyphs in font files. It seems there's a veritable epidemic of NPM-facilitated badness in client-side syntax highlighting used by several framework sites.

FWIW: I was being serious in my question... I thought it was perhaps about fonts. I wasn't aware that JS libs were embedding code to render glyphs for syntax highlighting.
