Good frontend performance comes from mastery. Tools can help you master what you understand, but not what you don't. If you scrolled through your build's bundle output, would you recognise most of the code in it?

If you aren't sure, try it out! 1.) go to your site 2.) open Chrome devtools 3.) in the Sources panel, find the biggest bundle file 4.) click the little "{}" button at the lower left to pretty-print 5.) start scrolling! How many of those lines look familiar?

Today I opened Dev tools on a site that was being slow whilst working remote on a vpn to see why it might be so slow, 7mb locale file, 6mb main.js 17mb vendor bundle. I nearly threw up
