Putting and users first is invariably good for business. However, being the user's advocate is sometimes uncomfortable. Good managers reflect the needs of folks *not* in the room.

With React I can ship more complicated apps in less time because of mature ecosystem & tooling. And I say that being *very* good w/ HTML, Sass & vanilla JS I don’t disagree with you at all—users *should* be at the center, but we can’t neglect the biz aspects of React $ savings

I’m not arguing for React staying either—I’m sold on the Web Component bandwagon FWIW and think React will be replaced—but I think we should ask *why* React has so much staying power. And seek to bring its benefits to other front-end tooling
