This is only true/useful within the context of a preloader (e.g. Search). Doesn't buy regular on-origin pages anything. That's why I said it works well for sophisticated embedders.

Not disagreeing with this point around preloading. There is additional work to be done to selectively apply this logic in a way that doesn't make it hard to know how a document works when loaded in either fashion.
