And honestly, are we just going to give in to fatalism? This can be made better. There is no reason to both have an engine and to decry the benefits of improving them.

My original tweet was actively advocating for making them better... by making them at the very least interoperable. I want a usable web without needing a bunch of limited polyfills and other gunk in the middle.
