I was just thinking of the same thing like: ya but backend performance is like 2 guys fighting outside a club, but the front is like D-Day, and the invasion of Normandy. Still curious though.

That's why SLOs, perf budgets and contracts between the front-end and backend services are absolutely vital to ensure we're optimising the right thing. Latency is irrelevant if your p99 is 300ms but your TTI is 10s with 25 re-renders.
