Except the caricature is both wrong (my concern is JS weight, not FW use) and perpetuates a harmful rhetorical trick used by those who deny JS bloat crisis (e.g., folks who preach moderation are somehow not engaged in good-faith efforts to resolve adjacent issues).

Getting explicit *might* be warranted. But JS should be treated like a controlled substance regardless. JS-first dev as commonly practiced today is incompatible with a sustainable web ecosystem; that's a problem for all of us, but opportunity for more responsible FWs like yours.
