By all means, we're all ears for better wording - @cramforce was also wondering about it. There's a tiny improvement pending, but the specifics are hard to phrase right

2/2 But maybe add a snippet that shows what the "flattened tree" for the example would look like helps?

I assume this is beholden to the two-pass delay same as the other JS-required stuff?https://twitter.com/zachleat/status/1039881142902644736 …

That's one part of it. It's because there's a ton of recommendations and assumptions held by various parts of various communities and we have to carefully tiptoe around possible misunderstandings...sometimes that is very hard to achieve :S See https://twitter.com/g33konaut/status/1191951711860121601 … as well

Hmm, potential problems: We're generally recommending SSR as a more robust, fast way...so this can be seen as contradicting. And I had to think twice about "Light DOM and Shadow DOM through the flattened tree" - we don't index the light DOM, tbh. 1/2

We do index the light DOM; it gets distributed through the flattened tree. Folks dont' grok the difference, tho. What I'm tryign to get at is "we index what you'd see in devtools" or similar. And recommending SSR is...ugh.
