"Some people are happy to give up" erases massive amounts of work that people have done, just because they don't happen to be privileged enough to work at a billion dollar company.

It's not "giving up" to worry about cries of "emergency" coming from a billion dollar company that's repeatedly abused its monopoly position. It's the height of privilege to sit behind a massive company and complain that the peasants aren't just blindly following the leader.
