Maybe a PR instead of trying to publicly shame first? Or, oh, I don't know, not attack people and projects?

Issue filed: https://github.com/gatsbyjs/gatsby/issues/18787 … IDK what messed-up browser support/compiler/polyfill matrix caused this set of haunted decisions, so a PR is a poor choice. But not going to apologise for digging into something that's causing multi-second delays in regressive way.

This was done because there was a bug in Chrome that did double fetching in some scenarios.https://github.com/gatsbyjs/gatsby/issues/18787#issuecomment-543643291 …

It seems to be fixed in Chrome now, so we fix it so it uses `fetch` again. Thank you for raising the issue!

Why the public shame for an open source project? That’s not a constructive way to bring about change, if that’s indeed your goal.
