Agree, yet the solution can't be just "more housing" and can't be just "strengthen moral fabric" (this one is laughable). Mental and drug rehabilitation is at the top of my list. Building housing in the most expensive market in the US is nonsensical as a point solution, IMO.

We have a lot of mental health and drug treatment in SF tho, the only thing we can’t do (cause state law) is institutionalize someone for chronic mental illness without their consent. Weiner tried to change that law at the state level but im not sure what happened.
