How do you think apps that don’t need phone APIs contribute to the web dying on mobile E.g. Twitter/Facebook don’t require fugu APIs. Anecdotally then going all in on apps is more so they can control the whole experience rather than hand off to another app

"don't require Fugu APIs" is an interesting assertion; these apps *very much* want Contacts API, SMS OTP retreiver, better media & codec access, shape detection API, better storage, etc.
