JS is the web's CO2, and we should start asking why the biggest polluters aren't cleaning up their respective acts. Loudly. Insistently. Even when that's uncomfortable.
Sure, we just disagree. Callenge is to accept that access to information is key in modern society, and the web is our substrate in the digital world. Billions of lives will be materially worsened without it. Let's not do the lazy thing of presuming that analogy is equation.

This thread is a bit ridiculous. Information is nice, and I have been working for years to improve open standards, but life on earth beats computers in priority. Let's keep our work in perspective.

Please stop putting arguments in my mouth, I agree with you that all this is important. But to equate this with the literal heat death of humanity is something that I’m not comfortable with.
