Hard to enforce though. Nothing prevents them to build their in-app browser with their own webview instead of the system one on Android. Their app is already overly bloated, what's 30 or 40 more MB...

Just import GeckoView or their own copy of the default WebView. Not much trouble given their resources.

The point here is that you could mandate it by policy. The question is whether adding more such policies is really helpful (e.g. "no Blink for you" on iOS isn't universally deemed a good thing.)

I've held out hope for years that light haranguing would cause FB to join the community of responsible browser vendors but on this and other points regarding web ecosystem health, better angels are MIA
